This class is designed to be a 15 week trip through the horse world. We will over many equine disciplines, including rodeos, hunter-jumpers, dressage, trail riding, halter, cutting, and more. Health and care for every type of horse and environment will be covered. Your will learn the horse from the whiskers to the tail, including units of study on the digestive system, reproductive system (including topics like embryo transfer), proper hoof care, behavior, nutrition, routine health care, vaccinations, internal and external parasites, and more. We will also discuss classic books involving horses, and gauge how realistic they may (or may not) be.
