Would you like to read intriguing memoirs and polish your writing skills while getting started on college/scholarship application essays? In Personal Narrative, you will learn that everyone has a story, but some tales compel readers to finish while others induce yawns. Develop your writer’s voice by immersing yourself in a wide variety of individual stories while also studying advanced grammar applications. Then, turn your hand to writing personal narratives, the clearest, most poignant form of communication and the kind college admission officers want to read. This full-year course covers literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary and is worth one high school English credit. The fall-semester option is worth one-half of a high school English credit and may be taken an English elective.
