Come join us as we explore the early history of mankind from the beginning of time to the Middle Ages. Our virtual journey will include following the Israelites to the Promised Land, building pyramids in ancient Egypt, and understanding the decline of the Roman Empire. In the second half of the year, we will see how God builds the first-century church, walk the halls of Camelot with King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, and travel to China with Marco Polo. Along with our textbooks, we will use primary source documents, historical novels, maps, timelines, and internet research to delve deeply into these fascinating time periods of history.Students will be challenged inside and outside of class with weekly quizzes, Memory Cards, quarterly tests, timelines, semester tests, literature, learning review games, and more than will appeal to a variety of learning styles. The self-paced course is specially designed for students to work their way through the material autonomously. Students will have access to 3-4 interesting and content-rich instructional videos each week in additional to weekly quizzes, review games, and activities.
My daughter loves reading, but only likes fiction, and rarely picks up a non-fiction book on history or geography. Studying this course with other students has really motivated her. I am surprised to see that she really enjoys reading the textbook. She’ll really love to continue MOH 2 next year!
Her routine in the class assists students in developing independence.
Her lectures guide understanding and provoke my student to thought!
We loved the on-camera session, breakout sessions, interaction among the students, the review games.
